An in vitro mass propagation protocol was developed for Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) var. orange using flower bud explants. The young (7 days) explants were found to be suitable culture and highest (100%) callus induction obtained MS medium supplemented with 5.0 mg/l BAP 1.0 NAA. maximum shoot regeneration (95%) the number of shoots (10) observed 6.0 0.3 multiplication frequency (60) only 2.0 BAP. well-developed roots (5.0) per plant average root length (5.0 cm) 100% efficiency without callusing recorded half strength devoid any hormonal supplement.
